Smoked Oyster Shrimp (or Shrimp Dinner…with Cream)

This post is a continuation from a recent post “Here’s something to blog about, Aunt Deb…”

To recap, I received some delicious looking pictures from one of the favorite nephews with instructions that I should blog about a creative recipe that his dad (the BiL) had created.  But, I did not receive a recipe.  After I pointed this out to said nephew and BiL, I received this email:

This is just a rough draft. You will probably get a ‘revised edition’. The name is in the draft. Flexible recipe.

Why am I Crazy Dog? Can I be something else?

OK–I thought Crazy Dog was one of your screen names….What would you suggest?

SOS (Smoked Oyster Shrimp) Noodles

Formerly entitled Shrimp Dinner…with Cream

Rough Draft

Ingredients

  • 2 c. chopped kale
  • 3/4 c. chopped onions
  • 8 oz. mushrooms
  • 3-6 oz. smoked oysters (depending on your taste)
  • 12 oz. raw shrimp, peeled
  • 4 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • pasta of choice

Instructions

Regarding the oysters: UNDRAINED! Save the juice!   (I’m also assuming there is some cream in here somewhere.)

Or, more specific “Get a bowl, dump in noodles…serve.”

I am still awaiting more instructions.  🙂  I am wondering about cream as an ingredient as well.

(Also, I am curious if the BiL realizes his SOS reference here.  Knowing him, he probably does…)

I absolutely have the best family (and most hilarious family)!
