Books On My Fall 2020 TBR for Top Ten Tuesdays

Happy Fall, Ya’all!  We are inching closer and closer to the end of 2020!  Is anyone else wanting to celebrate that?

Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is about our Fall reading lists.

Here’s what’s on my Autumn list.  Some of these are ARCs that are on my review list, some of these are from favorite authors.  As usual with my TTT posts, it’s a hodgepodge.

  1.  Thinking & Eating by The School of Life.  I love this cover and can’t wait to really dig into this cookbook/philosophy book.  It weirdly makes sense.
  2. Questions of Perspective by Daniel Maunz. According to the author, this is Metaphysical fiction—contemporary fiction with a speculative element, which gets a bit philosophical (not in a heavy handed way).  There’s quests, the voice of God, and a thirty-year-old cat involved.
  3. A Borrowed Life by  Kerry Anne King.  This one is an “emotional and sharply witty novel about how life’s unexpected detours can ultimately bring you home.”
  4. Murder in the Piazza by Jen Collins Moore.   This is an amateur detective story that is smart and fun. It’s for mystery fans who enjoy a good puzzle in an armchair-travel-worthy destination. It’s a traditional mystery with a heavy dose of Italy and food culture. The ambiance of Rome and the food of Italy are some of the pleasures of reading this book!
  5. What to Eat When Cookbook by Michael Roizen (Author), Michael Crupain (Author), Jim Perko (Author).  “This inspiring cookbook/strategic eating plan–sequel to the wildly popular What to Eat When–offers 125 delectable recipes geared to longevity, weight loss, and success.”
  6. A Frenzy of Sparks  by Kristen Fields.  This one is upmarket women’s fiction.  From the author: “A FRENZY OF SPARKS is a deeply personal story for me. It was inspired by family history. Readers who like books that lean literary and enjoy emotional family stories, books like WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING or EVERYTHING I NEVER TOLD YOU, they would probably like this one too.
  7. Secret Book & Scone Society by Ellery Adams.  This is the next Cook the Books selection.  Check soon for more information here.
  8. Eat a Peach: A Memoir by David Chang.   I’m waiting to order this one but rest assured it will be on my fall list.
  9. Paris Never Leaves You by Ellen Feldman.   I just won this title from The Book Club Cookbook.  Here’s the blurb:  Living through World War II working in a Paris bookstore with her young daughter, Vivi, and fighting for her life, Charlotte is no victim, she is a survivor. But can she survive the next chapter of her life? Alternating between wartime Paris and 1950s New York publishing, Ellen Feldman’s Paris Never Leaves You is an extraordinary story of resilience, love, and impossible choices, exploring how survival never comes without a cost.
  10. The Best of Me by David Sedaris.  I pre-ordered this as soon as I was able, but I will have to wait for November 30 before it ships.  🙁  I cannot wait!!!!!!!The Best of Me by [David Sedaris]

What book can you not wait to read next?  Is your Fall TBR list long?
