Eatin’ in Austin: A Moveable Feast

I was so excited to head to Austin and eat.  But, I do have to say that beyond the food trucks, we did find the food lacking in any star power.  We didn’t have a meal in Austin that we could go on-and-on about—granted, we very well could not have eaten in the right places.

We did have fun with the moveable food, though.

The trailer park.

Our first meal consisted of great hot dogs from Man Bites Dog.

Half-eaten Cuban and Abe Froman (Chicago) dogs.

Then we had to try a dessert from Holy Cacao.

Known for excellent hot chocolate and cake balls.

It was a little too warm the day we visited for hot chocolate and I am not a real cake ball fan, so we went with a Cake Shake and chose carrot cake and vanilla ice cream.  OMG!  I am going to try this at home.

Torchy’s Tacos also had a trailer in this park but we had already tried them at another location.  They were good but I think I like Big Truck Tacos better.
