Well, hopefully you can immediately see what’s new at Eliot’s Eats. A new look, a new focus, and maybe more posts. We’ve had a few changes since 2010…
After over a decade, I’ve got a new look. A huge shout out to The Hubs who did a lot of research and a LOT of work on making EE look better. He put in the research and was instrumental with support, ideas, and creativity.
I’ve been reviewing older posts to see how the content has transferred and I ran across our “How We Started Page.” Oh, my. While the impetus for the blog was originally all things locavore and gardening, it now seems to be books and reading. The food is still there though.
A lot has happened since those first posts.
The namesake Eliot passed away.

While we are beyond middle-aged now, we are still trying to figure out what we want to do.
I am no longer a high school principal but I still work with high school students on a college access grant. I love my work.
The garden is mostly a hit or miss endeavor. Call it lack of time or committment or the weather. It is what it is.
We spend more and more time at the lake on our ancient beast-of-a-boat-baby.

Fall is my favorite time of year here.

We are now dog people.

Maybe we will change to Newt’s Noshes. No. I don’t think so.
I will still be active as a co-host for Cook the Books and I will still participate in Movies & Munchies. I still have some holiday themes in mind and I want to continue to review the newest cookbooks. Maybe I will get back with some of my old groups.
Stay tuned for I am sure there will be some spastic changes in our future.
Thanks again to my great husband who encouraged me to take this leap (and made it possible). Love you!
