Just a little thank you to all of Eliot’s Eats readers.
Definitely wishing you all this sentiment: Be happy first, then make it last.
(Also, I had blessed moment at Starbucks yesterday. I was ready to use my free coupon in the drive-thru when the cashier told me that the gentleman in front of me said to have a blessed day. He had picked up my drink—which was a super expensive venti Caramel Machiatto with an extra shot. I was so flustered that I didn’t even think about passing my free coupon along to the next person. I am going to go remedy that now and go bless someone else in the Starbucks’ drive-thru!)
Please check out Happy First. It is a great company with great items and a great story!
That is so very nice. What a world we’d live in if that happened more often.
I agree. And, if I look back and really think about all the small kindnesses we have experienced, it makes me stop and pause: the lady at the FM who gave up one carton of eggs because we were told by the vendor that she had just sold the last dozen, the friend at work who brought us some fresh blackberry jam, the person at the grocery store that I just witnessed give up his place in line to someone who only had two items. We really need to focus on these small things more and I know I need to DO more of them.
The smallest of gestures are often the biggest – how lovely 😀

How true you are.
How wonderful is that?! Oh my, that is so sweet, what a great way to start your day. Oh, and I recently ran across something similar that I think would be such a joy to replicate: http://ticklestogiggles.blogspot.com/2010/05/my-birthday-was-awesome.html
I am definitely passing that link on. That is so great to be teaching young children about the joys of doing for others.
