I was brought up on the original Willy Wonka (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory–1971) with Gene Wilder. I could not tell you how many times I have seen that movie.

Blackberry, Mint, Black Pepper Jam

We have a blackberry and blueberry U-pick farm close by. (In the off season, it’s a Christmas tree farm.) It’s always well maintained and the staff is helpful. We made it through May and all the tornado outbreaks. (I think I said something similar to surviving April.) Again, I grew up in tornado alley; I remember nights spent in cellars. We have dodged some crazy weather and have been extremely lucky. Thankful.
