By Eliot, on May 21st, 2010% Wow, what a great Friday night—early summer temperature with a light breeze—just the right patio sitting weather!
Around 2:00 at work I decided it was time for the first patio party (which, as the summer progresses, becomes a Friday night ritual for us).
I perused through my adult beverage recipes and found one . . . → Read More: Finally, Friday.
By Eliot, on May 19th, 2010% I found an unusual (for me) burst of energy around 9:00 last night and decided to dill the green beans that I had bought at the Farmers’ Market last weekend. I stemmed and snapped them, steamed them and was preparing to boil the vinegar, water, sugar and salt mixture when I remembered the dill, the . . . → Read More: Dilled Green Beans

Finally home from a hectic, CRAZY, and absurd day at work. Could not wait to get to the garden.
I remember the few times we had a successful garden growing up and how I thought picking, preparing, and putting up our produce was a tremendous chore. Now, I find . . . → Read More: Shelling peas.

By Eliot, on February 17th, 2010% Seeds are started and we go out each evening to see what is peeking through the potting mix. We bought masonry mixing tubs, drilled holes in the bottom, and are growing lettuce, spinach, radishes and carrots.
