Strawberry Yogurt Ice Cream

 

Not slowing down.

I want to try this tonight with some of our final harvest.  I keep thinking that picking will slow down but it definitely hasn’t yet.

Strawberry Yogurt Ice Cream

1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 c. whipping cream
1 c. Greek style honey flavored yogurt
1 t.  vanilla
1 1/2 c. fresh strawberries, coarsely chopped

 Whisk the powdered sugar and the whipping cream until incorporated (about 30 seconds in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment).  Add yogurt and vanilla and mix well on high for another 30 seconds.  Finally, add strawberries and mix to incorporate.   Pour into ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer’s directions.

 I may want to add almond extract.    I love the taste of Amaretto and strawberries.
