I made these muffins, the “Bugatti” of Flax Muffins, and the blueberry muffins for my early morning breakfast meeting this past week. I am rating these muffins in order of them disappearing from the meeting and the break room at work.
First place: Bakery Style Blueberry Muffins
Second place: Flax-meal Muffins with Yogurt and Raisins
Third place: These Double Choco-Banana Muffins
In fact, I ended up throwing these muffins away today. I thought they were at least a tie for second place.

So you didn’t like these as much? I’m surprised they didn’t go faster than the flax–I wonder if people saw the chocolate and figured the flax ones were healthier, but usually, people go for chocolate no matter what!
Hubby and I loved them. I don’t know what their problem was! 🙂 The cinnamon, chocolate and bananas were a pretty tasty combo!
I am all about the chocolate, every time. If there is a choice, I need the choco on my plate 🙂
Oh, yummm… did you say *double* chocolate with banana? Yes, Please! The Mexican hot chocolate comparison has got me intrigued too… lovely.
These sound delicious and the muffins turned out PERFECT! Thanks for sharing and I’m off to discover the other gifts!
I go for the chocolate every single time… Gosh these look tasty… Now, and I may be the only one – But I think banana and chocolate is the best combo since chocolate and peanut butter… There’s something wrong with the people in your workplace… Just sayin’..
I am going to make these again but put a peanut butter truffle concoction on the bottom layer. That should cover all the bases!
Awesome! Nobody ever told me that *double* chocolate banana muffins was even an option! I’m placing an order the next time my baker pulls the bananas out of the freezer.
So, what do you think about adding a peanut butter layer???
A peanut butter layer would make this taste even more delicious – mmmm, perfect breakfast food 🙂
Haven’t tried that yet, but it is still on my radar.
