It is Award Season! (And Valentine’s Day!)

My first blog award.   What a great Valentine’s Day present!

I am so honored.   I would absolutely like to thank Choc Chip Uru at Go Bake Yourself for this award.   I cannot believe that she packs so much foodie wisdom into this blog at such a young age.   I am so impressed by all her recipes and posts.  If you have not discovered her yet, please go check out Go Bake Yourself.  (Great sense of humor, too!)

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you.   And, to channel Sally Field (because it is award season), “You like me, you really like me!”

Liebster is German and translates to the English word “dearest”or “favorite”.     A Liebster Blog Award is given to bloggers who have less than 200 followers (and who are nominated by other talented bloggers, like Choc Chip Uru).

Here are the rules to keep this award going:

  1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
  2. Link back to the blogger who presented the award to you.  That would be Choc Chip Uru!
  3. Copy and paste the blog award on your blog.  (See above.)
  4. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 5 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed.  I had a hard time narrowing it down to only five.
  5. Let them know they have been chosen by leaving a comment at their blog.

Her is my list of five favorite and very talented bloggers.   Tag, you’re it!

  • The Kitchen Witch:   I first became acquainted with Rhonda through Secret Recipe Club.    I love her recipes and her ramblings and I have loved watching her writing and blogging career take off!   (Make sure you check out her Motorcycle Mondays for a wonderful serialized love story.)
  • Veronica’s Cornucopia:   Her “Thankful Thursdays” always make me pause.   I love her outlook, her sense of humor, and her recipes (of course).   I first became acquainted with her after I posted about some restaurants in Wichita, her hometown.
  • Kate’s Kitchen:  I have found some of the greatest recipes here—from smoked goat cheese (to die for) to some mighty fine cocktails.   I love to read about all of Kate and Connie’s foodie adventures.
  • My Catholic Kitchen:   Again, this is another Secret Recipe Club pal.  I love Veronica’s (yes, another Veronica!) sense of family, faith, and food!    She has been highlighting Gourmet Women Game Changers which I have been enjoying a great deal and learning a lot.
  • The Vintage Mixer:  Becky writes out of Salt Lake and she highlights local restaurants.   Of course, she posts some great recipes, too.   She makes me want to visit Salt Lake City!

I can’t tell you how great I feel right now!    Thanks again, Choc Chip Uru!   Please check out all these talented bloggers!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
