I always have bananas in the kitchen which means I always have some overripe blackened ones that need used almost immediately.
There’s not much of a post today, no story other than that but I did want to share a couple of recipes that I found to use up over-ripe bananas (and any cranberries you might have left in the fridge from the holidays.) I was lucky enough to get cranberries and blueberries in a couple of recent farm bags.
Cranberry-Banana Bread
The only modification I made was to add 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
Blueberry-Banana Muffins
This is a great recipe utilizing whole wheat flour, yogurt, and maple syrup for sweetening.
The recipe yielded a dozen regular sized muffins and one larger one (baked in a ramekin).
If you’re snowbound today, use up those gnarly bananas and bake!
Hating bananas as I do, this is never a problem for me. No bananas in the house. End of story. I would like either of those with NO bananas.

We love cranberries in baked things, so your cranberry banana bread is particularly appealing. Thanks!
